About Me

Brian’s Biography

Born: 23 July 1962 in Fremont, Nebraska. Raised in Alaska, Louisiana, and Alabama. My dad was in the Air Force. After he retired, we settled in Mobile, Alabama, which was his home town.

Currently

I am learning to sew and to knit.  Assembling materials to provide a certain level of intelligence to my house.  Currently, my house can turn on/off lights on command and do other things.  I’m also working on some mechanical features such as to open/close blinds incrementally on voice command.  I’ll do this using stepper motors linked to a Arduino microprocessor.  I’m also extending sensors to provide remote awareness of life forms in close proximity outside my house.  These life forms include cats, dogs, skunks, opossums, birds, and and stray human.
