I like budgeting. I like putting all my numbers on a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet. I like changing numbers and see how they change my bottom line. I think I developed my love of budgeting while I was an Army Legal Administrator; even though it left me feeling weak when I had to tell a boss something could not be done. However, by giving a boss a piece of paper detailing expenses and allowing a boss to decide what could be cut, it made it all easier. Numbers do provide a cool breeze to blow upon hot emotion. I helped my son with his budget last night. I bored him silly. For me too it’s about knowing what I can buy without going into debt. Oh yeah, credit cards are bad. OK? BAD!!! Knowing at the end of the month I don’t have a huge credit card payment makes me secure in knowing that budgeting kicks a$$.
